Some Things You Should Know About Your Copywriter

I’m on a mission to stamp out mediocre, boring web copy.

Seriously, how many times have you gone to a website and rolled your eyes when you read the badly-written, unbelievable words on the page?

Or worse, you physically jerked back from your screen as soon as the page loaded because everything was one big cluttered mess?

What were they thinking?

But perhaps I should thank them …

Because of them I think I’ve found my purpose in life …

I’ve always been a writer, but once I realised I could help people with their website content …

That’s when everything fell into place.

And when I combined my love of writing and my natural outdoor lifestyle in the Australian outback …

Well, let’s just say life is pretty great right now. I don’t quite leap out of bed every morning shouting, “Yippee, another opportunity to help people with their marketing materials and webcopy” …

But some days I seriously consider it.

That’s my house. Another reason to be happy. I’m one of many who choose to live a more natural life, to be closer to the way we’re meant to live.

House at Eagle Hill

I see differently – I see clearly …

And …

I can solve your marketing problems, and write your webcopy with a fresh, new creativity, and an entirely new perspective.

I can see the forest for the trees – and the flowers, and the butterflies, and the rocks, and the … well, you get the idea.

I can see for miles …

Now I could spend the next few paragraphs rattling on about how good I am, how I can do this, do that, yada yada yada …

But as a reformed perfectionist, I’ll just tell you that I strive for excellence, not perfection …

It’s so much easier to live with.

Why would you trust your business to someone who’s just dabbling, writing on the side as a hobby?

Or worse, someone who’s just in it for the money and doesn’t care about you or your business.

There are plenty of ‘good’ writers out there, but you need a writer who ‘gets’ you and what you want to accomplish.

And, of course, someone who is a dedicated copywriter …

With brilliant ideas, and a different take on things …

One who’s always on top of the best practices and knows what works, and what doesn’t …

One whose goals are your goals.

As an added benefit you’ll find I’m funny and easy-going. I have inner-peace and I get the job done properly and promptly, with no drama.

I love to push the boundaries of my potential – and yours – and to deliver quality and reliability to you. These days it’s more important than ever to have high standards and demonstrate integrity and accountability.

Together, we can achieve extraordinary things.

Ok, here’s the boring  – but necessary – blah blah …

Just so you know that I know my stuff …

I’ve studied computer science at Curtin University in Perth, Western Australia and RMIT in Melbourne, Victoria.

I’m also an AWAItrained copywriter, and I study content marketing with Brian Clark, founder of Copyblogger, and Nick Usbourne, web copywriter extraordinaire.

I also study with other copywriting masters such as Bob Bly and Clayton Makepeace, and B2B copywriting with Steve Slaunwhite and Ed Gandia.

I’m always learning, so you benefit.

I live in Hawker, in the beautiful Flinders Ranges in South Australia, with my tribe of furry and feathered friends. There is something about living in an outback town that builds character and resourcefulness and it’s the perfect, peaceful place for an idea-centric copywriter. No stress.

Well, maybe just a little while I’m building character and resourcefulness.  It’s all good …

I look forward to working with you.

We’ll take your business to the next level and beyond …
